Article dans Empire, le magazine de cinéma anglais

"... Another treat for fans that also serves as an admirable introduction for newcomers is Julien Perrin's Ist Faust Schön?, which follows the fortunes of one of the originators of Krautrock. Initially comprising Werner `Zappi' Diermaier, Hans Joachim Irmler, Arnulf Meifert, Jean-Hervé Peron, Rudolf Sosna and Gunter Wüsthoff, Faust failed to garner the UK headlines that their bestselling debut album merited, as Virgin's decision to sell it for the price of a single denied it access to the charts. But, even after the Wümme line-up split, the band continued to command a sizeable global following, with their live gigs melding music with the noise generated by a range of industrial implements. Focusing on Diermaier, Peron and second phaser Amaury Cambuzat, Perrin's all-access portrait suggests that these are serious musicians who feel trapped by their stage personae, yet who recognise the creative freedom that their success has brought them..."
